IndieRetroDJ is a unique Mobile Disco and lightshow playing Soul, R'n'B, Garage, Jazz, Motown, Latin, Boogaloo, Lounge, Ska, Indie, BritPop and Mod Classics.
We have over 15 years' experience playing bars, clubs, private parties, weddings at home and abroad, and have DJ'd alongside many bands including Skasouls, 5:16's, Small Fakers, the VIP lounge at Wake Up Woking 2011 (Bruce Foxton Band) and private functions for various members of Hard-Fi
Parties and Weddings are fully inclusive of DJ, sound system, lighting and projections. Pricing depends on your location and how long you need us for, so do get in touch for a custom quote.

We are a professional Mobile DJ service who just happen to love vintage R'n'B, 60's Garage, Hammond Organ, Soul, Funk, Blues, Jazz, Reggae, Ska, Indie, Britpop, Psychedelia and all things Kitsch & Cool.
We have many years' experience playing at Weddings, Parties, supporting Live Bands, Events and running our own specialist nights. Our sound and light equipment is of professional quality and regularly serviced, and looks equally good in the most formal of settings or the seediest of basement clubs!
Face-to-Face Meetings
We offer to meet all of our clients in person to discuss the event in detail - the music, the attire, the equipment and of course the timings. We contact venues to discuss access, setting up, and to satisfy their requirements in respect of public liability insurance, testing records etc..
The music we play is primarily the best of the 1960s, soul, indie and other eclectic grooves - always with the aim of filling the dancefloor. Though we are at our best working from audience reactions on the night, we're also very happy to liaise with you beforehand to help plan the night with your own music suggestions and requests.
IndieRetroDJ is a specialist music service which does not play chart or mainstream pop music. When you book IndieRetroDJ you get a fantastic lightshow as part of the package.
Lighting can create the perfect atmosphere and make even the drabbest venue something special. IndieRetroDJ will supply subtle colour washes, psychedelic projections, strobes, UV, lasers and smoke (venue permitting).
For our oil wheels and projections we use Optikinetic Solar 250 devices - if you've seen any way-out psychedelic lighting at gigs or events the chances are they were Optikinetic units.
IndieRetroDJ is a popular service for Weddings, Private Parties and Corporate Events, and we also frequently play public sessions in specialist bars and clubs. We therefore recommend that you book early to avoid disappointment!
The 5:16s are a 5-piece Mod Band based in Woking and fronted by Enzo Esposito - an original and founding member of the much-loved Squire.
As well as penning their own material, The 5:16s pay homage to those icons, past and present, that have continued to inspire them with a breathless set featuring covers of old and new Mod Classics, Northern Soul, Motown and R&B.

The original sounds and mixes from the Jamaican Ska and Stax days of the 60s and 70s (Toots & The Maytals, Prince Buster etc.) are perfectly merged with the urban ska standards of the late 70s and early 80s (Specials, Bad Manners, Madness etc.) and the rock/soul anthems of bands such as Dexy's, Teardrop Explodes, The Clash and Pig Bag, to name a few.
